Three leading businesses have more in common than just their office location at leading flexible office complex, Cavendish Court in Doncaster.
The three companies – Vigo Group, NCM Auctions and DigitalXRAID – are all multiple award winners who make ongoing and significant contributions to the local economy and job creation.
Vigo Group, owners of a range of Doncaster property developments, including Cavendish Court, specialise in transformational property projects taking under used or decaying assets and breathing life into them. Innovation is in the DNA of this business, recently evidenced by the launch of Doncaster’s first progressive co-working space. Workhere is a totally flexible working option for those looking to grow their business or who simply want to get out and network with like-minded people. This high-quality workspace has super-fast broadband, private meeting rooms and can be used as a professional business address.
The Group’s Managing Director, Nadeem Shah, has always been an innovator. He was recognised at the recent Doncaster Chamber Business Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award for over forty years of support for the town of Doncaster. It was Nadeem who acquired the centrally located Cavendish Court premises in 1999 spotting the potential for businesses to be able to put down solid roots for growth in convenient and pleasant surroundings.
NCM Auctions first took offices at Cavendish Court in 2013. As a start-up business Cavendish Court suited the needs of the business during their first year of trading. A move away for a short time was followed by their return to take a space ten times the original square footage, designed to accommodate a growing headcount.
NCM are disruptors in the Auction market-place, having developed an innovative and successful formula for clearing buildings and equipment. Operating globally, they help companies release assets, turn surplus goods into revenue and, in so doing, have become established as world leaders in reuse rather than recycling.
The company’s achievements were recognised when they won the Success Through Innovation category at Doncaster Chamber Business Awards. Commenting, Emma McSkelly, Founder and CEO said:
“Cavendish Court can assist business in all stages of growth and has spaces to suit all types of companies. It helped my company in its first year of trading and fast forward 7 years to high calibre office space, projecting a great corporate image. The quality and the location are actually helping us attract and recruit new talent.”
DigitalXRAID are accredited in the top 1% of cybersecurity companies globally. The business took small offices at Cavendish Court in 2017 and have now upgraded their commitment by moving into a suite five times the size. The objective of the founders, both from Doncaster, was always to create employment opportunities in Doncaster. With the headcount growing from 6 to 30 in just two years and additional offices are now open in Liverpool, London and Singapore, this plan has come to fruition.
DigitalXRAID took the SME Business of the Year category at the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards for the second year running. Scott Goodwin, CEO said:
“The support we have received from the management at Cavendish Court has been central to our ability to expand our operations. We have been able to create an inspiring environment that in turn supports the wellbeing of our team.”
Commenting Tariq Shah, Director of Vigo Group said:
“There are yet more similarities between our three businesses. We are all Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses – this is an investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support.
We are immensely proud of my father’s recognition for his contribution to Doncaster’s economy.
As a third generation businesses with a great deal of experience and knowledge, we are stimulated by this focus on innovation. We have the infrastructure here at Cavendish Court to attract more tech companies looking to grow and be part of our innovation hub in the heart of Doncaster.”
